Giving Back: UGMSA�s Heartfelt Donation to the Stroke Unit of KBTH

On the morning of Friday, August 8, 2025, the Executive Body of the University of Ghana Medical Students� Association (UGMSA) had the honor of visiting the Stroke Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) to present a donation on behalf of all our members.

This gesture wasn�t just about items or finances�it was about gratitude, empathy, and purpose.

As medical students, our clinical journey is deeply tied to the corridors of KBTH. We have learned, grown, and been inspired within its walls. The patients we meet, especially those at the Stroke Unit, don�t just teach us medicine�they teach us humanity. They remind us that behind every diagnosis is a story, a family, and a fight for better health.

It was from this place of shared experience and emotional connection that we chose to give back�not out of obligation, but out of deep respect and compassion for the very people who shape our education. Our donation is a small but meaningful way to say: we see you, we value you, and we stand with you.

We are proud to continue this tradition of service and community impact. To every UGMSA member who supported this initiative�thank you. Your kindness fuels our collective mission.
